New York Cheesecake
Dense, rich, and creamy classic New York style cheesecake with a graham cracker crust.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 4 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 5 large eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Wrap outside of 9-inch springform pan with foil.

Mix graham crumbs and butter. Press into bottom and 1 inch up sides of pan.

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and flour, beat well.

Add eggs and yolks one at a time, mixing after each.

Stir in sour cream, vanilla, and lemon zest.

Pour into crust. Place pan in a larger pan with 1 inch hot water.

Bake 1.5 hours until set but center jiggles slightly.

Turn off oven, crack door, let cool 1 hour inside.

Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
