Shrimp Scampi
Succulent shrimp in a garlicky white wine butter sauce tossed with linguine. Ready in under 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb linguine
- 1.5 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 8 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions

Cook linguine according to package. Reserve 1 cup pasta water.

Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook 1 minute.

Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper. Cook 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove shrimp and set aside.

Add wine and lemon juice to the pan. Simmer 2 minutes.

Toss in cooked pasta and return shrimp to the pan.

Add pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.

Toss with parsley. Serve with parmesan cheese.
