Classic Beef Stroganoff
Tender strips of beef in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce served over egg noodles. Comfort food at its finest.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, sliced thin
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles for serving
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions

Season beef strips with salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over high heat. Sear beef in batches until browned. Set aside.

Add remaining butter to the pan. Sauté mushrooms and onions until golden, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.

Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir for 1 minute.

Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Stir until sauce thickens.

Reduce heat to low. Stir in sour cream until smooth.

Return beef to the pan and heat through. Do not boil.
