Homemade Alfredo Sauce
Rich and creamy alfredo sauce made from scratch with butter, cream, and parmesan. Better than any jar!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- Salt and white pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

Reduce heat to low. Gradually whisk in parmesan cheese.

Stir constantly until cheese is fully melted and sauce is smooth.

Add nutmeg, salt, and white pepper to taste.

If too thick, thin with a little pasta water or milk.
