Teriyaki Sauce
Sweet and savory homemade teriyaki sauce thats way better than store-bought. Great for stir-fries, marinades, and glazes.
Ingredients
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Instructions

Combine soy sauce, water, mirin, brown sugar, and honey in a saucepan.

Add garlic and ginger.

Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar.

Simmer for 5 minutes.

Stir the cornstarch slurry and add to the sauce.

Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.

Remove from heat and let cool.

Use immediately or store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
