Ingredients

  • 1 lb hot Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 4 cups fresh kale, stems removed and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan for serving
  • Crusty bread for serving

Instructions

    Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add sausage and break it into crumbles. Cook until browned, about 6-7 minutes.
